Wildfire

The model gives a 88% chance that this was a significant fire. Around the detections: 96% forest, shrubs and grass, 4% farmland.

Chance it was a significant fire: 88%

The estimate comes from a model trained on past fires in Bulgaria. It looks at a fire's first 24 hours: the land, the season and the detections.

First detected: 27 Oct 2018, 12:34
Last detected: 28 Oct 2018, 03:45
Duration: 16 h
Detections: 13
Max. power: 13 MW
Burned area: 186 ha; From Sentinel-2 images of 26 Oct and 31 Oct: the ground whose vegetation burned in between. An estimate, with error.
Extent: 141 ha; The area around the detections: a rough estimate, usually larger than what burned.

EFFIS has not mapped this fire. It maps mostly fires over 30 ha, and not every one of them.
