Wildfire

The model gives a 85% chance that this was a significant fire. Around the detections: 90% forest, shrubs and grass, 10% farmland.

Chance it was a significant fire: 85%

The estimate comes from a model trained on past fires in Bulgaria. It looks at a fire's first 24 hours: the land, the season and the detections.

First detected: 27 Jul 2019, 13:38
Last detected: 27 Jul 2019, 15:19
Duration: 2 h
Detections: 12
Max. power: 41 MW
Burned area: 75 ha; From Sentinel-2 images of 23 Jul and 28 Jul: the ground whose vegetation burned in between. An estimate, with error.
Extent: 146 ha; The area around the detections: a rough estimate, usually larger than what burned.

EFFIS has not mapped this fire. It maps mostly fires over 30 ha, and not every one of them.
