Wildfire

It burned for 39 h with 24 detections: a wildfire, whatever it started on.

Chance it was a significant fire: 5%

The estimate comes from a model trained on past fires in Bulgaria. It looks at a fire's first 24 hours: the land, the season and the detections.

First detected: 30 Sep 2019, 12:20
Last detected: 2 Oct 2019, 02:57
Duration: 39 h
Detections: 24
Max. power: 38 MW
Burned area: 242 ha; From Sentinel-2 images of 28 Sep and 3 Oct: the ground whose vegetation burned in between. An estimate, with error.
Extent: 397 ha; The area around the detections: a rough estimate, usually larger than what burned.

EFFIS has not mapped this fire. It maps mostly fires over 30 ha, and not every one of them.
