Wildfire

The model gives a 90% chance that this was a significant fire. Around the detections: 99% forest, shrubs and grass, 1% farmland.

Chance it was a significant fire: 90%

The estimate comes from a model trained on past fires in Bulgaria. It looks at a fire's first 24 hours: the land, the season and the detections.

First detected: 7 Apr 2020, 13:57
Last detected: 7 Apr 2020, 14:47
Duration: 1 h
Detections: 6
Max. power: 56 MW
Burned area: 254 ha; From Sentinel-2 images of 3 Apr and 8 Apr: the ground whose vegetation burned in between. An estimate, with error.
Extent: 119 ha; The area around the detections: a rough estimate, usually larger than what burned.

EFFIS has not mapped this fire. It maps mostly fires over 30 ha, and not every one of them.
